One of the most awaited Class of 2026 commitments involves five-star offensive lineman Jackson Cantwell. What was thought to be nearing its conclusion may actually be ending sooner than expected:

In early February, Cantwell announced a final six of Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State and Oregon. While he has maintained this top six, Miami, Georgia and Oregon are considered the favorites.
The 6-foot-8 and 315-pounder is also an elite track performer, with national titles in the discus and shot put. His father, Christian Cantwell, won a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the shot put while his mother, Teri Steer, competed in the shot put during the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Cantwell, from Nixa, Missouri, had official visits scheduled to all six schools starting May 9th, but now it seems unlikely that his process will remain open for that long.
