Recruiting Spotlight: Record-Setting 2026 QB Gavin Marshalek

The Mount Carmel (Pa.) product is rising in the ranks of talented national recruits.

Mount Carmel (Pa.) High School quarterback Gavin Marshalek has made a name for himself in the state of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth that has produced talented quarterbacks like Joe Namath, Dan Marino and Joe Montana. 

Slinging the pigskin around gridirons in Pennsylvania is a rite of passage for young signal-callers. Marshalek is a Class of 2026 prospect rising in the ranks fast of talented football players.


QB Gavin Marshalek

6-foot-1, 187 pounds

In 2024, Marshalek passed for 1,822 yards, 16 touchdowns and only four INTs for the Mount Carmel Red Tornadoes and finished with a record of 8-4. He completed 60 percent of his passes. 

Marshalek posted five games of multiple-touchdown passes and threw just one INT in the first eight weeks of last season.

Against Central Mountain, Marshalek threw for 180 yards and three TDs in a 49-20 win. In addition, Marshalek set a school record with 115 pass attempts without an interception. 

Marshalek earned Player of the Game honors four times last season for his efforts and was named All-Conference.

On the recruiting front, Marshalek holds offers from Kennesaw State and UNLV. In addition, Marshalek visited Syracuse. Marshalek will certainly be on the radar of more college coaches in 2025.
