As the calendar turns to spring, some things begin to change while others remain the same. What continues to remain the same is Georgia players getting arrested for driving offenses. The latest happened last night:
BREAKING: Georgia wide receiver Nitro Tuggle was arrested this morning by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department on charges of Reckless Driving and Speeding — Maximum Limits. Both are misdemeanors. Tuggle is a rising sophomore. pic.twitter.com/rFcDW2PQ2y

This time it was true freshman Nitro Tuggle, who played in six games during the 2024 season. Both charges are misdemeanors, which is the good part for Tuggle and the Bulldogs. The bad part is that this seems to be the 100th similar charge in the last couple of years. The reality isn’t much better, as it is at least the 25th driving-related incident since January, 2023, according to a report done by Atlanta Journal-Constitution last summer.
Tuggle was booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail at around 2am Thursday morning and released an hour later after posting $20 cash bond, according to online records.
Kirby Smart has yet to make a statement, but at this point he can just copy and paste what he has said the previous 24 times.
