Micah Hudson was a five-star prospect out of Lake Belton (TX) in the 2024 recruiting class
according to On3 rankings. He was the No. 12 overall player and No. 4 wide receiver. He chose
Texas Tech over Texas, Ohio State, and others.

Hudson had eight catches for 123 yards in eight gains at Texas Tech. He entered the transfer
portal after the season and committed to Texas A&M on December 15th .

Texas Tech wide receiver Micah Hudson does a drill during football practice, Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at the Sports Performance Center.

Aggie head coach Mike Elko confirmed that Hudson is not with the Texas A&M program ahead
of spring practice. “Not that it was in any way in question outside of message boards/social
media but Mike Elko confirms that former Tech WR Micah Hudson is not with the A&M
program,” Billy Liucci of TexAgs said via X.

The Best Way to End the Scheduling Debate

There has not been any reason given for his absence. The spring transfer portal will be opening
again in April and we may see Hudson’s name go in again. There could be a possibility he stays
in College Station and plays there in 2025, while there were also rumors that he may return to Texas Tech. Either way it should be an interesting month for the former five-star receiver.
