Playing his high school football just north of Austin, Jadae Barron has known about the Texas/Oklahoma rivalry for a long time. He also knows what it means to the fans of both programs. While he is preparing for next month’s NFL Draft, he took one more opportunity to troll the Sooners in a recent Instagram post:

While the photo is tagged at Lucas Oil Stadium, which is the location of the remainder of his slideshow photos that were from his recent NFL Combine experience, this photo is definitely not in Indianapolis. It is in fact in front of the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman. And yes, that is Barron holding his Jim Thorpe Award Trophy, which is annually given to the nation’s top defensive back.
How did this photo opportunity come together? The Jim Thorpe Award banquet is held in Oklahoma City, which is only about 20 miles from Norman, which makes it convenient. But the fact that Barron decided to make the drive after winning the trophy is pretty savage and further showcases the magnitude of this rivalry.
Yet another example of how rooted many of the top college football rivalries are.
