Everyone quickly became used to top college players driving $100K cars, but that perception will take longer for high school players. However, with some states making NIL possible for high school athletes, it also shouldn’t be shocking. That is the situation in Tennessee, where top Class of 2026 quarterback Jared Curtis recently showed off his new car on Instagram:

The announcement of his new 2025 red Corvette drew a quick response from fans. Especially those from Georgia and Oregon, who were recently named Curtis’ two leaders heading into his June official visits to both schools. And with Georgia’s main school color being red, his choice to buy a matching car sparked even more interest. Could this be a coincidence? Definitely. Do Georgia fans care if it was a coincidence? Not at all, as it gives them another reason to be optimistic with Curtis’ future decision.
And for those wondering, a new 2025 Corvette has an MRSP price of $69,995-$88,745 according to Car and Driver. With the NIL opportunities coming Curtis’ way in college, this likely won’t be the only car he buys. And maybe a green or yellow Porsche 911 or BMW M4 could be his next choice.
