While a defensive lineman is never going to compete for the fastest time at the NFL Combine, there are still plenty of impressive performances considering the players heights and weights. Nobody can ever say that Farmer didn’t give 100% during his attempt. He then followed that up with a 5.12 on his second run, which was later officially announced as a 5.11. This ranked him 11th amongst defensive tackles who ran 40’s yesterday in Indianapolis.
Farmer likely helped his draft stock a bit with his overall performance, after arriving as a second or third round pick. He was a key contributor on the interior defensive line during his time with Florida State. Farmer was especially productive during his last two seasons when he totaled 64 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and nine sacks.
