Jaylen Stewart

Pearland, TX (Pearland)

Committed to Oklahoma State

Mike Gundy and his Oklahoma State Cowboys picked up their first commit in 2026 with EDGE Jaylen Stewart from just south of Houston. His services were hotly contested in the Big 12, with nearly half the conference offering, but landed on Oklahoma State.

Versatile Edge defender with good height and frame at 6’3″ and 230 pounds. Good athletic ability with very good foot quickness, lateral movement, foot speed, good acceleration, balance, explosiveness, and change of direction. Can align in a two, three, or four-point stance between 4i and 9 techniques. Very good upfield burst, using his acceleration, lateral movement, and foot quickness to gain leverage on the offensive linemen, playing with very good pad level and balance. Very good pass rush, showing a good pass rush plan of inside and outside counters, set up by his very good upfield burst, displaying a very quick inside move where he turns his shoulder to make himself a smaller target for Offensive Tackles who cannot keep up with his speed.

Stewart has very good use of hands in his pass rush to keep separation from offensive linemen, allowing him to corner Offensive Takles in outside rushes, with the speed to close on QB when he corners them, creating very good pass rush finish disrupting the play by forcing the QB to rush his progressions or make a sack. Good run defense, showing very good range from his Edge position due to his lateral movement. Good use of hands in run defense with good strength to hold his gap. Keep his eyes in the backfield showing good processing to not get out of position due to fakes. Good tackler, with good grip strength to bring the ball carrier down.

He will need to continue to develop his strength at the point of attack for the Power-4 level and become a three-down player. No pass coverage reps view on film. Overall, a very good speed-rushing Edge player who can provide reps by year two and will develop into a three-down player as he builds mass and strength to play against the run.

Karon Maycock

Miami, FL (Miami Central)

Committed to Florida State

Florida State added to their all-Florida 2026 recruiting class with Karon Maycock, a Miami linebacker they beat out the Hurricanes for. Past Miami, Maycock had a total of 19 offers, including from Alabama, Florida, and Penn State, among others.

The Best Way to End the Scheduling Debate

The 6’2″ 210-pounder has good height and a frame that can add more weight. Very good athletic ability with very good acceleration, lateral agility, foot speed, balance, explosiveness, and change of direction. Very good Zone Coverage skills. Plays with cushion in zone to keep the play in front of him, with very good reaction to the throw utilizing his very good acceleration, change of direction, and speed to close on the WR and make a big hit.

Very good versus the run, showing good patience from his stacked LB position with very good downhill speed to fill his gap with very good strength and explosiveness at the point of attack. Good range versus outside runs with good use of hands and a shoulder turn to evade offensive linemen blocks with speed to make a tackle. Solid pass rush and can be sent on a delayed blitz up the middle or off the edge. Wins his pass rush with speed but lacks a developed pass rush plan with counter moves.

Maycock played all zone coverage in his highlight film, I would like to see him develop man coverage as he has the athleticism to play man. Overall, a good Linebacker prospect who excels in zone Coverage and run defense, making him a three-down linebacker that can compete early in at the P4 level.

Chris Booker

Atlanta, GA (Hapeville Christian)

Committed to Alabama

Alabama went a state over to secure Chris Booker, a 6’4″ 270-pound IOL’s commitment. The Atlanta product had 12 offers, with Booker choosing the Tide over an offer sheet that included Mississippi State, Kentucky, and Wake Forest.

Interior Offensive Line prospect with good height and a very good frame. Good athletic ability displaying very good lateral movement, foot quickness, good foot speed, balance, explosiveness, knee bend, and solid change of direction. Very good gap blocker, creating good block fits off the ball, utilizing his foot quickness and lateral movement to create leverage against the defender, and displaying very good leg strength and leg drive to push the defender out of the gap.

Also a very good pull blocker, showing good speed and timing on his pull and good explosives and the point of attack when engaging the block with good block sustain. Very good jump set, quickly setting his feet with a half-man relationship, with very good strength and explosiveness in his punch to jolt the defender, allowing him to anchor the block. Good vertical set, using his foot quickness in his kick and post steps to mirror the defender and keep a half-man relationship. Good patience in his punch timing, remaining balanced in his set through his punch and resetting himself to continue the pass pro. Very good anchor, using his good bend and strength to halt the bull rush.

Solid Zone blocker, displaying the lateral quickness to get his head across the defender with solid use of hands and sustain on the block. Very good recovery in all blocks when put in awkward situations to keep his feet and reset his balance to continue to be effective on the play. Would like to see development on his hand placement on all blocks to set up a block finish sooner on the play and to be able to look for a second block. Overall, a good prospect with the athleticism and frame to play the Guard position at the P4 level. Booker could develop into a tackle if he hits the 6’5” threshold as he displays the ability to pass block 1-on-1 versus defense ends.
