Shilo Sanders leads the list of players not invited to the 2025 NFL Combine.
The NFL released the list of NFL Combine invitees Thursday morning. There are 329 total players on the invitation list. Sanders, who is the son of Deion Sanders and brother of Shedeur Sanders, did not receive an invite to the Combine.
While many fans and NFL draft analysts are focusing on Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and speculating about where he might go in April’s draft, he is not the only son of Deion Sanders looking to make the leap to the next level.
Shedeur’s older brother, Shilo Sanders, a safety at Colorado, also hopes to have his name called during the draft. However, the former three-star recruit, who began his career at South Carolina before transferring to Jackson State and then to Colorado, faces a longer waiting time to be drafted.
Although not receiving an invitation does not mean that Shilo Sanders won’t be drafted, it does suggest that NFL teams may not view him as highly valued. Nevertheless, he may still have a few opportunities to showcase his skills in front of teams and impress them.
Sanders played in the East-West Shrine Bowl, making five tackles and knocking down a pass. The 100th East-West Shrine Bowl was played on January 31 in Dallas.

Sanders expressed dissatisfaction with certain narratives about his performance during the week of practice leading up to the game. He specifically took issue with reports that suggested he had been struggling, stating that those claims were false and misleading.
“It wasn’t true,” Sanders said, directly challenging those who had criticized his practice sessions. “I feel like they’re just going to hate on anything. I feel like I had a solid week at practice. Yeah, in one-on-ones, I did pretty shaky, but I can cover. Obviously, if you watch today, you’ll see that.”
Overall, the Colorado program had four players invited to the Combine, led by Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, with receivers LaJohntay Wester and Jimmy Horn Jr. also receiving invites.
Deion Sanders said he plans on hosting an NFL draft party in Boulder.
“We bringing the draft to us. I wanna do it in the gym. I wanna pack it with the students. Have an elaborate living room-type set on the floor that me and my son and all his loved ones that could be at, and we wanna enjoy with his teammates and the school”
Sanders not receiving a Combine invite isn’t a surprise. Last year, there were 25 safeties invited, and he is not considered a top-25 safety.
Regardless of how events unfold, the Sanders family and the Buffaloes players will attract significant attention as they approach the NFL Draft. The prospects participating in the Combine will be in the spotlight, with many ready to scrutinize their performances.
