With the 2024 season in the rearview mirror, it is never too early to look forward to the 2025 season.
On3 Sports shows ESPN’s predictions for the 12-team bracket through the national championship.

It has the conference winners getting byes include Penn St. (Big 10), Georgia (SEC), Utah (Big 12), and
Louisville (ACC). North Carolina joins Utah and Louisville as newcomers to the playoffs.
There are definitely some interesting matchups along the way. The first round shows that Ohio State
would be traveling to Ann Arbor for the second time in three weeks, there is a rematch of this year’s
playoffs between Notre Dame and Penn State in round two, they have Utah beating Texas to advance to
the semi-finals, and Georgia playing Alabama for a second time that year.
James Franklin and the Penn St. faithful would love to see ESPN’s predictions play out this way and
finally hoist the championship trophy. I wonder if this bracket will appear on a bulletin board
somewhere in Athens.
