While Deion Sanders’ contract extension at Colorado remains unsigned and rumors of a possible move to the NFL persist, news of an addition to his staff have also arisen. The Buffaloes already have one NFL Hall of Famer on staff, Warren Sapp, but another one may soon be joining him:
Another gold jacket coming to Boulder? Per a source, Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk is the top candidate to become Colorado's running backs coach #cubuffshttps://t.co/b0iCGyzhOn

Sanders has plenty of ties to the NFL, and with that are friendships with many ex-players. This one happens to be Marshall Faulk, who is one of the best running backs in the history of the league. Faulk would replace running backs coach Garry Harrell, whose departure became public yesterday. With the speed of the Faulk news, it is safe to assume that Coach Sanders has been working on this change in the background.

Should this bring more hope to Colorado fans’ regarding Sanders’ return? It definitely doesn’t hurt, as one would think that Sanders wouldn’t be adding a friend to staff and then leaving the program a week later.
