There aren’t too many five-star high school recruits in each class, so whenever a program gets one the expectations are always extremely high. However, one 2025 five-star has already decided to transfer after only being on campus for a week.
QB Jaron-Keawee Sagapolutele flipped from Cal to Oregon in early December but quickly realized that Eugene wasn’t right for him:
BREAKING: Oregon 5-star QB signee Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele is expected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, @BrandonHuffman reports.

Sagapolutele committed to Cal in July but when Oregon and Georgia offered in October, rumors began to swirl that his commitment to the Golden Bears wasn’t solid. Now that he is back on the market, it is believed that Cal will once again be involved, as well as Georgia.
While Sagapolutele wouldn’t have been expected to play in 2025, with Dante Moore set to take the starting job for Oregon, his addition was a big victory for the Ducks’ future. Now they likely will have to add some depth to the position through the portal.
