Dylan Raiola arrived at Nebraska with plenty of hype. However, just as the Cornhuskers’ season was a bit of a roller coaster ride, so was Raiola’s true freshman season. Everyone still sees the potential though, including an ex-NFL player who made some interesting comments earlier this week.
Leonard Fournette had a successful NFL career, which lasted seven seasons. During that time he rushed for 4,518 yards and 34 touchdowns. He also had the opportunity to play with Tom Brady in Tampa, so he is no stranger to top-level quarterbacks. This makes Fournette’s Instagram post from Tuesday night even more interesting:

Raiola has at least two more collegiate seasons remaining before he likely makes his way to the NFL, but the anticipation will only grow during that time. Everyone sees his potential, but he will need to translate that into more production if he and Nebraska are to to reach the levels that everyone in Lincoln hopes they reach.
Top-level college quarterbacks will always receive more attention than other players, but Raiola’s on a path that will take that to the next level. How he deals with all of this hype may go a long way in determining his future.
But for now Nebraska is just happy to have him and his potential.
