Everyone knows that the annual Ohio State/Michigan game is one of the biggest rivalries in college football. Because of that, there is plenty of emotion before, during and after each game. Ohio State head coach Ryan Day openly discussed the pain he has felt after recent losses to the Wolverines.
Coach Day won his first two games against Michigan, but everything has gone downhill for the Buckeyes in the series since 2019. The Wolverines won the last three games, each time beating the Buckeyes when Ohio State was ranked #2 in the country. The losses have deeply affected Coach Day:

Every fan should want to see such a reaction from their head coach when dealing with a rivalry like Ohio State/Michigan. Many coaches wouldn’t be as open with their feelings, so seeing Coach Day wearing his heart on his sleeve is a sign of his devotion to the game.
This season’s game is a bit different though. While Ohio State is once again #2, Michigan has struggled throughout and now sits at 6-5. The Buckeyes are favored by 21, so a loss in this year’s edition of the rivalry would provide a different level of pain for Coach Day. And if this were to happen, you can be sure that it would also bring a different level of joy for Michigan fans.
