Another week, more movement on the recruiting trail. Let’s take a look at a couple of big-time flips and some other players who have made a decision on where they’ll be starting their college careers:
Demetres Samuel Jr.
#242 NAT, #21 S, #38 FL
Committed to Syracuse on September 29th
The rare case of a flip-back, Demertes Samuel Jr. is back to Fran Brown and Syracuse after spending less than two months committed to Florida. Samuel originally was a class of 2026 recruit but reclassed to 2025 after committing to the Gators. Samuel marks the 29th commit in a strong 2025 class for Syracuse and is currently their highest-rated player in the class.

Douglas Utu
#69 NAT, #2 IOL, #1 NV
Committed to Oregon on September 26th
Another flip in the 2025 cycle saw coach Dan Lanning arguably one of the most important pieces of Tennessee’s class from coach Josh Heupel and his staff. The 6’4″, 317-pound Douglas Utu joins a loaded Oregon class that is firmly in the top 10 with their sixteen commits.

Landon Hammond
#1339 NAT, #122 CB, #39 LA
Committed to Tulane on September 29th
Landing Landon Hammond over the likes of P4 offers like Ole Miss and Boston College is a massive win for coach Jon Sumrall and the Green Wave. The 6’0″, 150-pound athlete who also runs track marks the fourteenth commit for Tulane, their sixth commit from their home state of Louisiana.

Dakotah Terrell
#776 NAT, #38 TE, #12 OK
Committed to Missouri on September 30th
Standing in at 6’7″, 215 pounds Dakotah Terrell is a raw athlete with a ton of upside, currently playing both sides of the ball for Pocola High School. With recent offers from Ole Miss and Kansas it feels pretty significant for Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers to nail down a commitment, their 17th commit in what looks to be a surefire top-20 class in the cycle. Terrell was the highest-rated uncommitted Tight End prior to committing.
