Cam Ward and Diego Pavia headline top transfer performances from Saturday

With a full slate of games on Saturday there were numerous 2023/2024 transfers who shined. Here are some of the top performances: 

QB Cam Ward, Miami-Florida (Washington State)

Ward completed 26 of 35 passes for 385 yards, three touchdowns and one interception during a 41-17 victory at Florida. He also rushed for 33 yards on 3 carries.

QB Dillon Gabriel, Oregon (Oklahoma)

Gabriel completed 41 of 49 passes for 380 yards and two touchdowns during a 24-14 victory over Idaho.

QB Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt (New Mexico State)

Pavia completed 12 of 16 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 104 yards and one touchdown on 26 carries, during a 34-27 overtime victory over Virginia Tech.

QB Tyler Shough, Louisville (Texas Tech)

Shough completed 18 of 24 passes for 232 yards and four touchdowns during a 62-0 victory over Austin Peay.

QB Chandler Morris, North Texas (TCU)

Morris completed 32 of 41 passes for 415 yards and three touchdowns during a 52-38 victory over South Alabama. 

QB Kyle McCord, Syracuse (Ohio State)

McCord completed 27 of 39 passes for 354 yards, four touchdowns and one interception during a 38-22 victory over Ohio.

QB Blake Shapen, Mississippi State (Baylor)

Shapen completed 15 of 20 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns during a 56-7 victory over Eastern Kentucky. He also rushed for a team-high 44 yards and one touchdown on seven carries.

QB Will Howard, Ohio State (Kansas State)

Howard completed 17 of 28 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns during a 52-6 victory over Akron.

QB Brendan Sorsby, Cincinnati (Indiana)

Sorsby completed 22 of 31 passes for 383 yards and two touchdowns during a 38-20 victory over Towson. He also rushed for two touchdowns.

QB Brock Vandagriff, Kentucky (Georgia)

Vandagriff completed 12 of 18 passes for 169 yards, three touchdowns and one interception during a 31-0 victory over Southern Miss. He also rushed for 35 yards on five carries.

QB Eli Holstein, Pittsburgh (Alabama)

Holstein completed 30 of 40 passes for 333 yards, three touchdowns and one touchdown during a 55-24 victory over Kent State. 

QB Mike Wright, Northwestern (Mississippi State)

Wright completed 18 of 30 passes for 178 yards and also rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown on nine carries during a 13-6 victory over Miami-Ohio

QB Sam Leavitt, Arizona State (Michigan State)

Leavitt completed 14 of 22 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns during a 48-7 victory over Wyoming. He also rushed for 47 yards on eight carries.

QB Will Rogers, Washington (Mississippi State)

Rogers completed 20 of 26 passes for 250 yards and one touchdown during a 35-3 victory over Weber State.

QB Bryson Barnes, Utah State (Utah)

Barnes completed 11 of 21 passes for 198 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while rushing for 88 yards and one touchdown on five carries, during a 36-14 victory over Robert Morris.

QB Jordan McCloud, Texas State (James Madison)

McCloud completed 21 of 30 passes for 238 yards, three touchdowns and one interception during a 34-27 victory over Lamar.

RB Desmond Reid, Pittsburgh (Western Carolina)

Reid rushed for 145 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries and also returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown during a 55-24 victory over Kent State.

RB Marquez Cooper, San Diego State (Ball State)

Cooper rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries during a 45-14 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce. He also had three receptions for 10 yards.

RB Jonah Coleman, Washington (Arizona)

Coleman rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries during a 35-3 victory over Weber State. He also had two receptions for 19 yards.

RB Quali Conley, Arizona (San Jose State)

Conley rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries during a 61-39 victory over New Mexico. He also had three receptions for 29 yards.

RB Brashard Smith, SMU (Miami-Florida)

Smith rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries during a 59-7 victory over Houston Christian.

RB Kobe Pace, Virginia (Clemson)

Pace rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries during a 34-13 victory over Richmond. He also had two receptions for 51 yards.

RB Raheim Sanders, South Carolina (Arkansas)

Sanders rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries during a 23-19 victory over Old Dominion.

RB Anthony Hankerson, Oregon State (Colorado)

Hankerson rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries during a 38-15 victory over Idaho State.

RB Savion Red, Nevada (Texas)

Red rushed for 135 yards on 11 carries during a 28-26 victory at Troy.

WR Isaiah Neyor, Nebraska (Texas)

Neyor finished with six receptions for 121 yards and one touchdown during a 40-7 victory over UTEP.

WR Josh Kelly, Texas Tech (Washington State)

Kelly finished with 10 receptions for 156 yards and one touchdown during a 52-51 victory over Abilene Christian.

WR Matthew Golden, Texas (Houston)

Golden finished with three receptions for 50 yards and two touchdowns during a 52-0 victory over Colorado State.

WR Ja’Corey Brooks, Louisville (Alabama)

Brooks finished with seven receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown during a 62-0 victory over Austin Peay.

WR Kris Hutson, Washington State (Oregon)

Hutson finished with four receptions for 101 yards and one touchdown during a 70-30 victory over Portland State.

WR Coleman Owen, Ohio (Northern Arizona)

Owen finished with 10 receptions for 137 yards during a 38-22 loss at Syracuse.

WR Christian Fitzpatrick, Marshall (Michigan State)

Fitzpatrick finished with four receptions for 97 yards and one touchdown during a 45-3 victory over Stony Brook.

WR Skyler Bell, UConn (Wisconsin)

Bell finished with five receptions for 141 yards during a 50-7 loss at Maryland. 

WR Mario Williams, Tulane (USC)

Williams finished with four receptions for 124 yards during a 52-0 victory over Southeastern Louisiana. He also had one rush for 13 yards. 

WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Auburn (Penn State)

Lambert-Smith finished with three receptions for 80 yards and two touchdowns during a 73-3 victory over Alabama A&M.

WR Louis Brown IV, San Diego State (Colorado State)

Brown finished with three receptions for 91 yards and one touchdown during a 45-14 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce.

WR Rico Flores Jr., UCLA (Notre Dame)

Flores finished with three receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown during a 16-13 victory at Hawaii.

WR Kevin Coleman, Mississippi State (Louisville)

Coleman finished with five receptions for 88 yards and one touchdown during a 56-7 victory over Eastern Kentucky.

TE Joe Royer, Cincinnati (Ohio State)

Royer finished with five receptions for 89 yards during a 38-20 victory over Towson.

LB Aiden Fisher, Indiana (James Madison)

Fisher finished with a team-high 12 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack during a 31-7 victory over Florida International

LB Chris Paul Jr., Ole Miss (Arkansas)

Paul finished with a team-high eight tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, half a sack and one pass breakup during a 76-0 victory over Furman.

LB James Djonkam, Eastern Michigan (Arizona State)

Djonkam finished with a game-high 13 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack during a 28-14 victory over UMass.

LB Keyshaun Elliott, Arizona State (New Mexico State)

Elliott finished with a team-high seven tackles, one tackle for loss and one interception during a 48-7 victory over Wyoming.

LB Dorian Hopkins, UTEP (Tulsa)

Hopkins finished with a team-high 16 tackles and one tackle for loss during a 40-7 loss at Nebraska.

LB Jared Bartlett, Cincinnati (West Virginia)

Bartlett finished with six tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack during a 38-20 victory over Towson.

LB Teddye Buchanan, Cal (UC Davis)

Buchanan finished with a team-high nine tackles, .5 tackles for loss and one pass breakup during a 31-13 victory over UC Davis.

DB K.J. Wallace, UCLA (Georgia Tech)

Wallace finished with seven tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and four pass breakups during a 16-13 victory at Hawaii.

DB Will Lee III, Texas A&M (Kansas State)

Lee finished with a team-high nine tackles, .5 tackle for loss and one pass breakup during a 23-13 loss to Notre Dame.

DB Patrick Smith-Young, Old Dominion (North Texas)

Smith-Young finished with a team-high nine tackles, two tackles for loss and .5 sacks during a 23-19 loss at South Carolina.

DB Patrick Taylor, Jacksonville State (Georgia)

Taylor finished with a team-high 12 tackles during a 55-27 loss to Coastal Carolina

DB JaTravis Broughton, TCU (Utah)

Broughton finished with four tackles and four pass breakups during a 34-27 victory at Stanford. 

DB Josh Minkins, Cincinnati (Louisville)

Minkins finished with six tackles and three pass breakups during a 38-20 victory over Towson. 

DB Jalon Catalon, UNLV (Texas)

Catalon finished with four tackles and two interceptions during a 27-7 victory at Houston

DB Gavin Gibson, East Carolina (Maryland)

Gibson finished with six tackles, one tackle for loss and one interception, which he returned 30 yards for a touchdown, during a 42-3 victory over Norfolk State.

DL Kyle Kennard, South Carolina (Georgia Tech)

Kennard finished with five tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks during a 23-19 victory over Old Dominion.

DL Fadil Diggs, Syracuse (Texas A&M)

Diggs finished with eight tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks during a 38-22 victory over Ohio.
