Tennessee received one of the biggest commitments in the class of 2025 in five-star David Sanders Jr.

The longtime blue-chip target out of North Carolina finally made
his decision on his future destination on Saturday, and he ultimately
picked the Tennessee Volunteers. His other three finalists were
Georgia, Ohio State, and Nebraska, with the Cornhuskers coming on
late.

For a while now it has been a tight race, but according to
Sanders’ word, “They’ve (Tennessee) been on top for a very long time. Coach Heupel and that coaching staff – they’ve done an amazing job
for me and my family.”

The five-star offensive tackle is ranked as the number one offensive
tackle in the nation as well as being the number two ranked player
overall, according to 247 Sports. The Providence Day School standout
stands 6’6″ 290 plus pounds, and has only gotten better year after
year. He is such an amazing athlete to be his size. This very well
may be the biggest offensive line commitment for the Vols since
Kansas City Chief star Trey Smith back in 2017.

With Sanders Jr choosing Tennessee, that now moves them up
potentially to a top-five recruiting class along with giving blue-chip
QB commit George MacIntyre a brick wall for his blind side. He
now becomes the crown jewel of the class, and I fully expect this
train to keep rolling with more commits in the near future.
