1. Penn State
A plain helmet can be iconic and cool, just ask Notre Dame. But white? With nothing? It’s always been the most boring helmet out there next to the NFL Browns.
2. USC
I like the tradition of not changing things, I respect that. I just don’t like the traditional helmet. It’s kind of plain and could be so much better.
3. Georgia
The Green Bay Packers already had this idea.
4. Texas A&M
Some of their alternate helmets are okay but overall this is a boring brand with average colors and little pop.
5. Boston College
They aren’t a national power so at least they could have a cool Eagle or some wings no? This is the kindergarten version of Notre Dame.

The chrome versions can look sharp but the solo letter helmets often fall short in my book.
7. Oklahoma
Texas has a cool and iconic helmet and brand. An interlocked O and U over crimson doesn’t do a ton for me.
8. Tennessee
Like Washington they have some okay alternates and I like the colors but again a single letter over white isn’t doing much for me.
9. Nebraska
Same as many of the others, not a lot of originality over a boring color slate.
10. Maryland
I liked the old script Terps better than the M but all in all this is boring.
