Some coaches seem to breeze past criticism, while others take everything to heart. Here are five who need to develop a thicker skin:
1. Lincoln Riley, USC
Whether it’s undercooked brisket or simply Oklahoma fans up in his mentions, Riley tends to block people and no coach should have time to care about that garbage.
2. Deion Sanders, Colorado
Prime says he’s doesn’t care about the haters but has probably blocked more people than Riley and for less reason. After all, he didn’t screw over a massive fan base to head to LA. But yet he’s paying way too much attention on social media.
3. Mario Cristobal, Miami
Mario doesn’t block many if any but he does pay much more attention to the hate than the love. It makes sense as the Oregon fan base wasn’t happy and everyone seems to think Miami will never break through, but he needs to ignore the haters.
4. Dabo Swinney, Clemson
I still think Tyler in Spartanburg was a plant by Swinney to stir up the masses but even without that famous radio rant, he’s overly defensive in many areas and should let it slide off his back. The man has won two national titles, who cares about the haters?

He’s famously way older than 40 now and still gets his feathers rustled too often by the media and haters. His combative nature is a perfect fit for underdog Oklahoma State but sometimes it seems too much.
