Synopsis:

The events are scheduled over three days, beginning with QB drills and the Rail Shot Challenge on day one, followed by the Panini Accuracy Challenge and Vicis Pro Day on day two, and concluding with 7-on-7 action on the final day. The action takes place at Mira Costa High School on June 18-20, 2024.

Day 1 recap:

Each quarterback brought their best to the table, but a few stood out from the rest. Tavien St. Clair, Keelon Russell, Husan Longstreet, and Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele were among those who wowed everyone on the first day. Longstreet arguably has the strongest arm talent in the 2025 class and displayed it on this national stage. St. Clair possesses a prototypical frame, smooth mechanics, and is considered a very capable three-level passer. With Bryce Underwood declining to attend, this is St. Clair’s opportunity to demonstrate why he should be regarded as the best quarterback in his class. Russell excelled as a playmaker, showcasing quick feet and good accuracy. Sagapolutele is a dynamic lefty who can consistently deliver accurate passes.

Day 2 recap:

The second day of the Elite 11 Finals concluded on Wednesday night with 20 quarterbacks participating in the Vicis Pro Day and the Panini Accuracy Challenge. During the Pro Day, each quarterback had 8 minutes to complete 20 throws to moving targets. In the accuracy challenge, quarterbacks aimed to hit seven different stationary targets. Unfortunately, Tennessee commit, George MacIntyre wasn’t able to compete on days two and three due to injury. We pray for a speedy recovery young general.

Day 2 superlatives:

On day two we see Tavien St. Clair win the Panini accuracy challenge. His complete arsenal was on display. He was confident and his mechanics were flawless. We then witness Julian Lewis win the Pro day in dramatic fashion. Lewis isn’t the biggest Qb there but he competes, and he showed us what he can do when the spotlight is on.

Day 3 recap and MVP:

The last day of competition is decided by a competitive 7-on-7 matchup between the best receivers and defensive backs in the country. The quarterbacks get the chance to drop back and let loose, putting their skills on display. Only one can be crowned MVP, though. The MVP of the Elite 11 is someone who takes constructive criticism well, refining their game along the way—a quarterback who displays both tangible and intangible qualities. Last but not least, it is the quarterback who puts it all together and delivers a lights-out performance against an actual defense. Without further ado, your 2024 Elite 11 MVP is none other than:

Remarks:

Keelon put it all together. His personality, skill set, and coachability put him over the top. During his 7-on-7 session, Keelon displayed excellent decision-making ability and arm talent. He finished the day with a notable performance, going 19/25 with 5 Touchdowns and no interceptions. The Crimson Tide have struck gold in the quarterback market. Keelon has set himself up to do great things in the SEC.

Conclusion:

The 2024 Elite 11 Finals have once again underscored the remarkable talent and potential of the nation’s top high school quarterbacks. This prestigious event serves not only as a proving ground for these young athletes but also as a beacon for scouts and football enthusiasts eager to witness the future of the sport.
