There have been plenty of bad coaching hires in college football. Here are five that stand out:
1. Chad Morris, Arkansas
Arkansas somehow hired Morris from SMU despite his 14-22 record and he lived up to the bad hype going 4-18 in less than two season for the Hawgs. He didn’t win a SEC game, not one.

2. Willie Taggart, Florida State
Taggart was a hot hire from Oregon to replace Jimbo Fisher who stopped trying in his last season. While Taggart didn’t inherit a cohesive roster, he set the program back years with poor coaching and recruiting.

3. David Beaty, Kansas
6-42 overall and 2-43 in conference is hard to do, even at Kansas. He was way over his head for his first job and was a puzzling hire coming out of Texas A&M without a coordinator title.

4. Darrell Hazel, Purdue
One 11 win season at Kent State convinced Purdue that he was the guy and they were wrong. He went 9-33 at Purdue and ironically had his best season at 3-3 in his final year before being fired.

5. Greg Robinson, Syracuse
The man who set Syracuse back perhaps forever? The replacement for Paul Pasqualoni decided a west coast offense was a good idea after years of option offense at Syracuse. The roster was ill prepared for such a drastic change and his defense was terrible as well. He finished with a record of 5-37 and 2-25 in the Big East making Syracuse go from power to pauper.
