In today’s Fact or Fiction I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. Michigan helped themselves the most in the NFL Draft.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
Michigan led the way with 12 picks and had a great draft for recruiting purposes but to me it was Florida State who gained the most. It’s been a long time since the Seminoles have been this relevant with 10 picks and with the storylines about Jared Verse and Braden Fiske being reunited in LA and how fun Keon Coleman is going to be in Buffalo, they kind of stole the show. While most of the big names were transfers, this will still help high school recruiting immensely.

2. Deion will stay at Colorado following next season.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
That’s what he’s saying, but with both sons leaving and his daughter transferring out, I don’t think there will be enough left for him to stay. The NFL is a much easier road without dealing with NIL and recruiting and while he’s not head coach material there he could be an invaluable DB coach in the NFL. That’s where he’s headed if he doesn’t join a player agency.

3. QB Dylan Raiola looked like a 5-star.
Farrell’s take: FACT
The freshman Nebraska QB had some ups and downs but overall he showed what everyone in Lincoln wanted — arm talent, accuracy, and most importantly composure. He’s going to be thrown to the wolves and will have some rough moments, but he should get better each week and has the talent around him to have a very good first year.
