In today’s Fact or Fiction — recruiting edition — I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. Nebraska has the lead for ATH Michael Terry III.
Farrell’s take: FACT
Terry III is a five-star kid and Texas and Texas A&M will be very hard to beat as well as Oregon. But his first official visit is in the books and it was a home run trip to Nebraka with more than 60,000 fans at the spring game. And with 5-star QB Dylan Raiola recruiting, they have a shot. Raiola will be working out with Patrick Mahomes who has obvious ties to Texas and that can only help.

2. Colorado had a much-needed big 2025 weekend.
Farrell’s take: FACT
I’ve been critical of Deion Sanders for his lack of high school recruiting so landing his first three 2025 commits this weekend is a big deal. CB Alex Graham from IMG is a good one while LB Mantrez Walker and TE Corbin Laisure are both solid. Coach Prime has a long way to go when it comes to high school recruiting and I expected him to be much more effective but at least he’s landing a few from high school to balance his transfer portal heavy approach.

3. Arizona State is rebounding nicely.
Farrell’s take: FACT
Some key portal losses like QB Jaden Rashada and WR Elijah Badger sting but Kenny Dillingham wants to start to build his Arizona State program through high school recruiting after relying on the portal early. Four commits led by WR Adrian Wilson is a good start as ASU is now No. 2 behind Texas Tech in my Big 12 rankings and just inside the national top 25 with a pair of four-star commits. There’s a long way to go for ASU and Dillingham but this was a nice week.
