The Peach State is home to over 40 blue-chip players in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Let’s take a look at some of the top athletes still uncommitted in the class and where they’re trending on the recruiting trail:
Elijah Griffin
Savannah, GA (Savannah Christian Prep)
#4 NAT, #1 DL, #1 GA
The argument could be made that Elijah Griffin is the top player in the 2025 cycle, and for coach Kirby Smart and Georgia keeping the elite defensive tackle has to be a top priority. The Dawgs are competing with the likes of Colorado (April 20th visit), Oregon (April 27th visit), and Clemson who has also been high on Griffin’s list.
While Georgia looks to be the leader in the clubhouse and has the advantage of being close to home, there’s a lot of work to be done in this recruitment. I would be willing to make an early prediction for the Bulldogs, but would tab Clemson a close second.

Zayden Walker
Ellaville, GA (Schley County)
#21 NAT, #2 LB, #5 GA
Zayden Walker is a dynamic athlete that plays both ways for his high school, but is destined to be a linebacker at the next level. The 6’3″, 230-pound linebacker holds offers from a number of schools but look out for Georgia, Miami, and Auburn.
Walker’s older brother Zykeivous Walker is a defensive lineman at Auburn, which could play a factor (positive or negative) down the stretch in Zayden’s recruitment. I would expect to get more clarity soon on where Walker is trending, but right now I like where coach Mario Cristobal and the ‘Canes stand with a couple of visits that Walker has scheduled.

Josh Petty
Roswell, GA (Fellowship Christian School)
#29 NAT, #5 OT, #7 GA
There’s no doubt about the athleticism of Josh Petty. The full time two-way player could be a P4 starter on the defensive line, but projects to be an offensive tackle at the next level. There’s a handful of teams in the mix but keep an eye on Notre Dame, Texas, and Clemson.
There’s not a clear favorite for Petty but he has visits scheduled to a variety of schools starting in late May, including a visit to coach Dabo Swinney and Clemson. I think there’s a lot of work to be done but the Tigers are in a great spot.

Antwann Hill
Warner Robins, GA (Houston County)
#93 NAT, #11 QB, #14 GA
Finding a P4-caliber QB1 is a difficult task, and Hill is the top option still uncommitted in the 2025 cycle. With Ryan Montgomery committing to Georgia, some teams to watch for Hill are Florida, Memphis and Florida State.
The 6’5″, 215-pound quarterback was once committed to coach Deion Sanders and Colorado before reopening his recruitment in November. There’s a long timeline for a decision, but I like coach Billy Napier and the Gators in this one despite a recent trend that leans toward Memphis for Hill.
