We move to part three of my projected College Football 25 ratings, focusing on QBs in the Big Ten and Big 12. and the second focuses on QBs. Following the ACC and SEC, let’s look at these QB overalls.

Big 10:

Big  Notes: By my count, the Big Ten will have 12 new starting QBs. That is a really high number, even in the portal era. This makes predicting ratings difficult, but at least some of them have started elsewhere so we have an idea of where they’ll be rated. Dillon Gabriel is an example here. He is one of four in the game I predict to have a 95+ rating. He’s good and in an offense where he’ll put up numbers.

New starters Kurtis Rourke, MJ Morris, Max Brosmer, Will Howard, Will Rogers, and Tyler Van Dyke are also new to the conference, but all bring starting college experience. Dylan Raiola is the sole freshman QB predicted to start for a P4 team. Aidan Chiles follows coach Jonathan Smith to Michigan State with much fanfare. Alex Orji is a relative unknown on a blue-blood team, and he’s still a question mark.

Sep 10, 2022; Miami Gardens, Florida, USA; Miami Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke (9) attempts a pass against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles during the first half at Hard Rock Stadium.

Big 12 Notes: Shedeur Sanders is the fourth and final 95+ QB in my ratings, he’ll put up bazooka numbers and has the tools to be great. We see more stability at QB in this conference than any before. KJ Jefferson is new to UCF, but certainly not to us. Dequan Finn was a major addition for Baylor and is the type of guy the game tends to rate highly.

BYU has a three or four-man race to start at QB. Jake Retzlaff is the Spring #1 so gets this nod, but all of their candidates should be below 80 in the game. Noah Fifita gets above 90 after a stellar 2023, he will also have one of the game’s premier WR targets in Teritoria McMillian to throw to. There are lots of fun guys to start dynasties with here, with very few bonafide studs.

Sep 2, 2023; Fort Worth, Texas, USA; Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders (2) throws a pass in the second quarter against the TCU Horned Frogs at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
