In today’s Fact or Fiction — NFL Draft edition — I look at three big recent topics around the NFL Draft and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. Nate Wiggins made himself CB1 with his 40 time.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
I like Wiggins a lot and his blistering 40 time (4.28) at the combine secures him a round one grade as if there was any question. But CB1 is still Quinyon Mitchell who also ran well (4.33) and is a bit more physical and thicker. Mitchell will go top 15, maybe top 12 or so and Wiggins will be in the top 20. Alabama CB Terrion Arnold is also in the first round mix. With Cooper DeJean and Kool Aid McKinstry as well, we could see five corners in round one. And Ennis Rakestraw Jr. could make it six.
Nate Wiggins was STEPPING on this 4.29 seconds 40 yard dash. Best thing about it is he plays at that speed on tape as well. Phenomenal cover guy, with elite make up speed and route recognition. pic.twitter.com/tgTvUTOWJp

2. Brock Bowers is the only TE in round one.
Farrell’s take: FACT
It’s a large gap from Bowers to the next guy who to me is Theo Johnson from Penn State. Ja’Tavion Sanders from Texas is also up there for No. 2 but only Bowers will land in round one as he won’t pass the Colts at No. 15.

3. Terrion Arnold won’t slide past No. 15.
Farrell’s take: FACT
As we talk about corners with Mitchell and Wiggins and we talk about the Colts at No. 15 I can’t see Arnold slipping. Even if a corner hasn’t gone off the board some teams like Arnold as their CB1 and the Colts will figure between Bowers or a corner if they have that choice. But I think there’s a great chance Arnold slides ahead of Wiggins because of the Bama reputation.
