The 2024 recruiting cycle is finally over. Signing Day is usually about accolades and false hope, but these five schools laid a bit of an egg this 2024 recruiting cycle.
1. Colorado
— Spin it all you want with the transfer portal focus, but seven high school signees is not good and does not come close to helping to lay a foundation or a culture. There is some talent here, but Deion Sanders is looking for shortcuts.

2. Washington
— Coming off a title game and finishing near the bottom of the new Big Ten and well out of the top 25 doesn’t bode well for Jedd Fisch. That being said, Kalen DeBoer did it with fewer stars. Who knows, maybe Fisch can too.

3. North Carolina
— UNC has so much to offer, but the football has been average, the defense has been terrible, and it’s led to average classes like this one. A great staff is struggling to win battles, and that’s telling.

4. UCLA
— Chip Kelly is looking to the NFL for a reason. He’s never been big into recruiting, and this small and very average class speaks to that.

5. Arkansas
— Sam Pittman is on the hot seat, and it shows. This class is near the bottom of the SEC and not what’s needed to save his job. Maybe Bobby Petrino can work miracles.
