It was a great Senior Bowl this past week as usual down in Mobile,
Alabama, with talent all around on both sides. Some quite didn’t show as
well, while others upped their stock. Let’s check out the ones who
stood out on the offensive side of the ball.
Spencer Rattler, QB, South Carolina
Once the heir apparent to Jalen Hurts at Oklahoma before finishing up at South Carolina, Spencer Rattler has sure come a
long way. While having issues with his antics along with other
things, one thing for sure is that his talent was never the problem.
He would go on to finish the Senior Bowl 4-4 for 65 yards and a touchdown
on a deep shot to Georgia receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint to earn
MVP honors. Scouts will most certainly take a harder look at the
signal caller.

Christian Haynes, OL, UConn
Coming into the event, Haynes wasn’t really on the radar
of scouts too much. However, he would go on to prove worthy of much
more after the practice week he had. Despite a couple mishaps,
he would dominate every other time. Haynes has unique quickness along
with exceptional technique that helps him maneuver his opponent
wherever he wants. His stock is surely up.

Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
While not having the best week of practice, with the
limited action he did get, Bo Nix surely made the most of it. It seems
like he comes to the moment and plays his best ball when the stage is set. Nix finished the game going 4-5 for 21 yards and a score to TE Brevyn Spann-Ford.
His draft process will be
somewhat a mystery but he showed his talents this past weekend. Nix is a wild card, but is a guy who could be successful with the right team.

Emani Bailey, RB, TCU
Bailey started the game for the American squad by recording the first five touches of the game. He’s not the
biggest, but he showed great burst along with make-you-miss ability.
He also got his chance to show his talents in the passing game where
he is great in space. He should be a steal this upcoming draft for a team that needs a versitile back.

Luke McCaffery, WR, Rice
A McCaffrey making plays on the field? At this point I
don’t believe that is even a question anymore. It’s almost become a
given as former Denver Bronco Ed along with son
Christian who stars for the 49ers made their name known. Now the other son Luke McCaffery gets his chance to shine.
McCaffery began his
career at quarterback at Nebraska before transferring and switching to receiver, and that choice
turned out for the best. He showed off his skills to get open and
come down with one hand grabs as well. His stock is well on the
rise.
