With the departure of Jim Harbaugh to the NFL, Michigan players now have a 30-day window to enter the transfer portal. Numerous players will be contacted by other schools with the hope that they make themselves available, but here are the five who will be the busiest:

CB Will Johnson

The skinny: Not much explanation is needed regarding Johnson, as an All-American sophomore cornerback would be able to pick his destination if he made himself available. In two seasons he has totaled 54 tackles, seven interceptions and seven pass breakups, which makes him one of the top returning defensive players in the country in 2024.

Schools to watch: LSU, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida State, Miami-Florida, Penn State

DL Mason Graham

The skinny: As with Johnson, Graham is also a sophomore. He immediately made an impact in Ann Arbor as a true freshman and continued to improve his game in 2023 with 36 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss and three sacks. Productive interior defensive linemen are always a hot commodity in the portal, which would make Graham very busy.

Schools to watch: USC, Oregon, UCLA, Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Georgia

TE Colston Loveland

The skinny: Yet another sophomore, Loveland has established himself as one of the top tight ends in the country. He had his breakout season in 2023 with 45 receptions for 649 yards and four touchdowns, but with quarterback J.J. McCarthy making the move to the NFL might he decide to try and find a more reliable signal caller to play with in 2024?

Schools to watch: Oregon, Colorado, Wisconsin, USC, Ohio State

LB Ernest Hausmann

The skinny: Hausmann already transferred from Nebraska to Michigan, so why not again? He finished third on the team with 46 tackles in his only season in Ann Arbor while being part of a rotation. He is on the cusp of a huge season, wherever that may play be in 2024.

Schools to watch: Ohio State, Penn State, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M

QB Jadyn Davis

The skinny: The highly sought after Class of 2024 quarterback and North Carolina native spent plenty of time visiting schools in the Southeast during his recruiting process. Will Harbaugh’s departure make him think about playing his college football closer to home?

Schools to watch: North Carolina, Georgia, Clemson, Tennessee, South Carolina, Penn State, Florida State
