Now that all of the bowl games have ended, and we look forward to
the College Football Playoff Championship game on Monday, I
think it’s a great time to point out the best performances from all of
bowl season. Whether it be the best bowl or a sub par one, the
players played their tail off along with a few putting the nation on
notice. Let’s begin.
1. QB Darrien Grainger, Georgia State
Stats: 19-22 (86%), 257 YDs, 3 TDs, 24 Carries, 111 YDs, 2 TDs
Darrien Grainger had himself one heck of a day going up
against Utah State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Not only was
he immensely effective through the air, but on the ground as well.
He would finish the day with almost 300 passing yards along with
another 100 plus on the ground and five total touchdowns. They
would end up winning 45-22
That’s 5 touchdowns for @GeorgiaStateFB
FYI THEY JUST TIED THE FAMOUS IDAHO POTATO BOWL RECORD FOR TD’S RESPONSIBLE FOR 🏈🥹 pic.twitter.com/uwVQVXMueh

2. QB Miller Moss, USC
Stats: 23-33 (70%), 372 YDs, 6 TDs
In his first ever start of his career, the former 2021 Under
Armour All-American put on an absolute show. Taking over in the
absence of former Heisman trophy winner Caleb Williams, he
showed no fear or drop off whatsoever. He may not be the runner or
playmaker Caleb is, but Miller Moss can throw with the best of
them. He would finish the night with almost 400 passing yards
along with six touchdown passes to gain a 42-28 win over
Louisville.

3. EDGE James Pearce Jr, Tennessee
Stats: 5 QB Pressures, 3 Tackles, 1.5 Sacks, 1 FF, 1 Int (Pick Six)
All the hoopla and hype coming into the game was about
stud Freshman QB Nico Iamaleava getting his first start, and
rightfully so given he finished the game with four touchdowns (3 on
the ground) along with MVP honors. Although that may be true, the
MVP could have easily went to James Pearce Jr. He was a menace
all day for Iowa’s offense living in the backfield wreaking havoc. He would
also add a pick six to put a cherry on top in a shutout. He’ll be a top
pick in next years draft.
A MENACE WE SAY.
James Pearce Jr. pick six!

4. QB Bo Nix, Oregon
Stats: 28-35 (80%), 363 YDs, 5 TDs
There has been a lot of talk surrounding Bo Nix his entire
career going all the way back to Auburn. He was a top QB whom
was given the reigns from day one. While he had an up and down
career on the Plains, he had an exceptional one in Eugene with this
year being even more special being a Heisman finalist. In his last
college football game ever he completed 80 percent of his passes for
almost 400 yards along with five scores. His name will forever be in
the record books.
The most accurate season 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 by a college quarterback.

5. WR Rashod Owens, Oklahoma State
Stats: 10 Receptions, 164 YDs, 2 TDs
Last but certainly not least, we have Rashod Owens who
completely torched Texas A&M’s secondary all night. On his way to
receiving MVP honors, he would end the game with 10 catches for
almost 200 yards and two scores. He was an absolute mismatch for
the Aggies as they went on to win the Texas Bowl 31-23.
Rashod x2 💪
