After losing to Utah Saturday night, Coach Prime sent out the Bat Signal to donors and boosters that he was going to need money to sign big name recruits and restore championship status to Boulder. He also talked about the fact that fans would be pleased with his second freshman class.
Well, on Monday, Prime received some feedback from three of his top commits for the next two cycles.
“We ain’t comin.”
Quarterbacks Antwann Hill (2025) and Danny O’Neil (2024) each decommitted from the Buffaloes in the last 24 hours, according to ESPN, while running back Jamarice Wilder (2025) pulled the plug on his commitment on Monday.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Coach Prime told the media on Saturday night that he is ready for the challenge of recruiting his second class to Colorado and that the fans would be delighted with his haul.
“You gonna be pleased with what’s coming; I promise you that,” he stated after the team’s 23-17 loss against Utah on Saturday. “But everything that you see that we have a lack thereof, a deficit, we’re gonna fill that need.”
The Buffaloes recruiting class for 2024 is currently ranked No. 65 by many recruiting sites. Many of those early 2024 commits came from the Karl Dorrell regime and were made before Deion set foot on the Boulder campus. The jury is still out on whether or not they are going to buy into the Coach Prime Charade and actually sign with Colorado on Early National Signing Day in December.
However, the decommitments from the class of 2025 must leave Prime with indigestion as they are solely on his watch.

Colorado made some strides in 2023 by winning four games as compared to the one game that they won in 2022. However, they lost six straight games to close the season and went 1-8 in the conference formerly known as the PAC-12.
The Buffs started the season 3-0 and won games at TCU and at home against Nebraska and Colorado State. It was all going downhill after that including a loss to Stanford where Colorado blew a 29-0 halftime lead.

The Buffaloes are headed to the Big XII and if they want to make a big splash, they are going to need to nail down some 2024 recruits and improve their non-existent 2025 class. They do not have one commit as of now for the 2025 recruiting cycle.
