Every weekend, I like to try and predict the upset of the weekend. In week one, I picked Duke to upset Clemson. I chose Texas to beat Alabama in week two. Then this past weekend, I said that Florida would defeat Tennessee. Do you see the common theme between my picks? They were all right. I could fall flat on my face by the end of the season and go three for twelve, but I haven’t yet, so I am going to start giving you guys my upset pick of the week.
Week Four Pick: 22 UCLA over 11 Utah
I have the number eleven team involved in my pick for the third week in a row as Texas and Tennessee were both ranked eleventh. This week, I see Chip Kelly and the Bruins going to Utah and pulling off the upset. Freshman QB Dante Moore has been impressive thus far and gives UCLA the edge in my opinion. The five-star has accumulated 615 passing yards with seven touchdowns and only a single interception. He also has an 86.2 QBR which puts him inside the top ten in the country for that category.

We also won’t know until tomorrow if Utah quarterback Cam Rising will be playing. Rising has been recovering from a torn ACL suffered in last season’s Rose Bowl and he’s a true difference maker for the Utes. In his replacement, Bryson Barnes and Nate Johnson, have been shaky at best. Even if Rising can suit up and start, we don’t know how he will do considering it’s his first game back from a serious injury.

For those previously stated reasons, I have UCLA in this one. The spread is Utah -4.5 and the UCLA money line is between +160 and +170 depending on where you are betting. The total over/under sits at 52.5.
