I begin my Power Five conference predictions with the SEC. You’re welcome.


1. Georgia (playoffs)

— A three-peat is likely as the schedule is a joke, and the roster is loaded.

2. Alabama

— I don’t have Nick Saban making the playoff, but they will play in the SEC title game.

3. LSU

— They will fall just short of the title game as Jayden Daniels gets banged up.

6. South Carolina

— Shane Beamer is a year away from a nasty roster.

7. Ole Miss

— Ole Miss struggles last year down the stretch have me concerned.

8. Arkansas

— Sam Pittman has a potent offense, but can the defense improve?

10. Missouri

11. Mississippi State

12. Florida

— The roster isn’t ready for this schedule.

— Year one of the rebuild under Hugh Freeze won’t lead to a bowl game.
