Thousands of college football players changed schools during the off-season. Here is a closer look at the top D1 performances from 2022/2023 transfers during the first week of college football action:

QB Sam Hartman – Notre Dame (Wake Forest)

Hartman impressed during a 42-3 win over Navy in Ireland by completing 19 of 23 passes for 251 yards and four touchdowns.

QB Taisun Phommachanh – UMass (Georgia Tech)

Phommachanh completed 10 of 17 passes for 192 yards and rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on 17 touchdowns during a 41-30 victory over New Mexico State.

QB Hank Bachmeier – Louisiana Tech (Boise State)

QB CJ Montes – Fordham (New Mexico)

Montes completed 18 of 31 passes for 198 yards and one touchdown during a 34-13 loss to Albany.

RB Shomari Lawrence – FIU (South Dakota)

Lawrence rushed for 139 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries during a 22-17 loss to Louisiana Tech.

RB Malik Jackson – Jacksonville State (Louisiana-Monroe)

Jackson rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries during a 17-14 victory over UTEP.

RB Irv Mulligan – Jackson State (Wofford)

Mulligan rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries during a 37-7 victory over South Carolina State.

RB Micah Bell – Mercer (Charlotte)

Bell rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown during a 17-7 victory over North Alabama.

WR Steven McBride – Hawaii (Kansas)

McBride had seven receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns during a 35-28 loss to Vanderbilt.

WR Dorian Singer – USC (Arizona)

Singer had four receptions for 41 yards and one touchdown during a 56-28 victory over San Jose State.

WR Anthony Simpson – UMass (Arizona)

Simpson had three receptions for 65 yards and two carries for 27 yards and one touchdown during a 41-30 victory over New Mexico State.

LB Mason Cobb – USC (Oklahoma State)

Cobb finished with six tackles and two tackles for a loss during a 56-28 victory over San Jose State.

LB Cody Moon – San Diego State (New Mexico)

Moon finished with a team-high 11 tackles, and added a pass breakup, during a 20-13 victory over Ohio.

LB Brevin Randle – Louisiana Tech (Stephen F. Austin)

Randle finished with nine tackles and one tackle for a loss during a 22-17 victory over FIU.

LB Aeneas DiCosmo – Vanderbilt (Stanford)

DiCosmo had three tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss and half a sack during a 35-28 victory over Hawaii.

DL Anthony Lucas – USC (Texas A&M)

Lucas had three tackles and two tackles for a loss during a 56-28 victory over San Jose State.

DB Isaiah Rutherford – UMass (Arizona)

Rutherford finished with one tackles and one interception, which he returned 55 yards for a touchdown, during a 41-30 victory over New Mexico State.

DB Walter Reynolds – Ohio (Holy Cross)

Reynolds had six tackles and one tackle for a loss during a 20-13 loss to San Diego State.

DB Myles Heard – Louisiana Tech (Stephen F. Austin)

Heard finished with nine tackles during a 22-17 victory over FIU.
