QB Hudson Card – Purdue (Texas)
The skinny: Deciding to play in offensive coordinator Graham Harrell’s pass happy offense, this was a potential match-made-in-heaven the second that Card committed to the Boilermakers. And nothing has changed that potential dream-team since his arrival in West Lafayette. His performance this summer has been impressive and continues to improve as he gets more comfortable with Harrell’s offense. While there will likely be some bumps in the road, his performance thus far points to a big offensive season in 2023.
WR Xavier Weaver – Colorado (USF)
The skinny: Since he did not commit until late February, Weaver missed spring practice in Boulder. However, he has been quick to adjust to his new environment during the first two weeks of summer camp. The coaching staff has repeatedly praised his performance, while mentioning him as an NFL-level talent. He has also quickly developed chemistry with quarterback Shedeur Sanders, which will go a long way in helping the offense’s success this season.
DB Evan Williams – Oregon (Fresno State)
The skinny: The Ducks made it a priority during the off-season to overhaul their defense and did so by adding several veterans to the unit. One of these was Williams, who quickly established himself as one of the defensive team leaders after his arrival in Eugene. Teaming up with fellow safety Tysheem Johnson (Ole Miss), Williams has already helped solidify the safety position and is in-line to have a huge statistical season this fall.

OL Josh Simmons – Ohio State (San Diego State)
The skinny: Simmons, who was added during the spring to stabilize the left tackle position, has yet to officially win the starting job but at this point it would be a stunner if that was not the case. He has met all expectations of him in Columbus, while steadily improving his level of play throughout the summer.
WR Da’Quan Felton – Virginia Tech (Norfolk State)
The skinny: The Hokies added three talented receivers through the portal during the off-season, and while all have flashed since their arrival, it is Felton who has brought a new dimension to the offense. At 6-foot-5, 210-pounds, he brings a unique weapon to the offense that will surely be utilized in the red zone. But he has proven to be more than height and size this summer. Possessing reliable hands, good route running and impressive speed, the potential is there for Felton to quickly make a name for himself in Blacksburg.
