Fall camp is finally here, which means we are officially into the
2023 season. The first game will be here before you know it, but as
we all know, recruiting never takes a break. With that being said, we are still in
the very thick of it. Let’s take a look at some of the latest news for
the Volunteers.
Bennett Warren Commits
The latest commitment for the Vols was huge, both literally and
figuratively as 6’8, 330-pound OT Bennett Warren finally pulled the trigger.
As a long-time Tennessee lean, the Texas native was supposed to commit a
month or two ago but gave it more thought. He made the decision official on July thirty-first by choosing Tennessee over finalists
Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M.
Warren is the fifth offensive line commit for Tennessee and it likely solidifies the class. Alongside him, there are four-stars Max Anderson and William Satterwhite, and three-stars Gage Ginther and Jesse Perry. Look for the Vols to stay hot on the trail and work towards landing a top-ten class.

Deuce Knight Transfers
Four-star 2025 prospect and major Tennessee target Deuce Knight
decided to transfer high schools this week, landing at Lipscomb
Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. The 6’4, 195-pound signal caller
from Mississippi is a dual-threat nightmare on the field, who has
honed his passing skills as well over the past year.
Last season at
George County (Miss.) High School, he threw for nearly 2,000
yards in the air and eleven touchdowns, while also adding nearly 500
yards on the ground and twelve rushing scores.
He will join 2024 Volunteer commits Kaleb Beasley (DB), and Edwin
Spillman (LB). Beasley played a big part in getting Knight to Lipscomb
Academy by opening up his mind to new endeavors and
challenges. “One of the players, Kaleb Beasley, hit me up about
the school, and he told me about the way things are there,” spoke Knight. “He was telling me to come. So, I looked up the school.
When I did my research, I felt like the school would challenge
me in and outside of the classroom.” Look for the Volunteers to be on
him even heavier due to the local connection.

Top In-State Targets for 2025
1. QB George Macintyre, Brentwood Academy, Brentwood, TN
6’5.5, 182lbs, Five-star ranked 13th nationally, #1 in TN
The top-ranked prospect in the state of Tennessee can sling
it with the best of them. He has a prototypical size while being very
accurate, although he needs to add some weight. Can also use his feet when he needs to very well. This is a
must-get for the Vols.

2. ATH Cameron Sparks, Baylor School, Chattanooga, TN
6’3, 210lbs, Five-star ranked 29th nationally, #2 in TN
Sparks can do it all for you on the football field. He lined
up at numerous positions for Baylor, including WR and LB. His
main position is still to be determined, but wherever he lands he
should be a major factor. Tennessee and Georgia are early
contenders for his services.

3. IOL Chauncey Gooden, Lipscomb Academy, Nashville, TN
6’4, 320lbs Four-star ranked 146th nationally, #6 in TN
Mr. Gooden is a traditional mauler at the guard
position who dominates his opponents with ease. Time after time on
film he manhandles whoever is in front of him, and clears a
path for the back. To win ball games you need to be dominant in the
trenches, and Gooden is the perfect player to continue improving the Vols offensive line.
