Let’s take a look at three coaches who will be under serious scrutiny this season in the ACC and why.

1. Dino Babers

Syracuse

— 36-49 overall, and a woeful 18-39 in the ACC isn’t getting it done. The fast start last season saved him, but the awful finish has him on a one-and-done deal now.

2. Jeff Hafley

Boston College

— 6-5 and 6-6 was an okay start for the young coach, but after a 3-9 season, he needs to get things trending upwards again. This is a very young team, so the results will be interesting.

3. Brent Pry

Virginia Tech

— He’s not in danger of losing his job or anything, but season one was horrible, and another loss to Old Dominion could be a big issue.
