In today’s Fact or Fiction, I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. Wisconsin wins the Big Ten West with their new offense.
Farrell’s take: FACT
Phil Longo is the real deal and Braelon Allen will be even more dangerous and effective in the Air Raid offense, just watch. Iowa and their defense will be formidable, and Minnesota is steady, but Tanner Mordecai is the best QB of these three schools, and the defense will be solid as usual. Give me the Badgers this early.

2. Urban Meyer is right about NIL and cheating.
Farrell’s take: FACT
Meyer likened NIL to cheating recently, and he’s correct. Anyone who thinks this isn’t pay-for-play is fooling themselves as we have entered an era where what used to be cheating is now above board. It can be hidden or disguised with collectives, but let’s be real — the coaching staffs and collectives work hand in hand to give the most money to the players they covet the most. That’s old-school cheating.

3. Alabama has the best NFL Draft trio heading into next season.
Farrell’s take: FACT
Ohio State has the buzz with potential top 10 picks in Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka, but Alabama is absolutely loaded for the draft with DE Dallas Turner, OL JC Latham, and CB Kool Aid McKinstry all in the top 20 range in my book. Now things may change, and Michael Hall and JT Tuimoloau are amazing players who could jump up. Alabama has a ton of talent that could emerge as well, but for a trio, I’ll take ‘Bama.
