We’ll keep the scouting reports rolling on top prospects from across the country.

Corian Gipson – SAF

Lancaster, TX (Lancaster High School)

Safety prospect that has good height and solid size. Shows good speed and athleticism. Tracks the ball well when he gets his head around, and is able to get his hands on the ball to generate PBUs. Solid in man coverage, positions himself well to make plays on the ball. Good in zone coverage where he has his eyes in the backfield, gets a good break on the ball, and times his hits well to make contact when the ball arrives. Smart player that reads the offense well from the safety position and shows on-field leadership by adjusting his teammate’s alignment and getting them into position to make plays. Good tackler in the open field and he uses the sidelines well to get the ball carrier out of bounds. Displays solid strength; he is willing to play in the box, gets good extensions on blockers, and positions himself well to slip off and make plays on the ball carrier.

Marginal hands limit his ability to generate turnovers. A multi-sport athlete that also ran track at the high school level. He has some position flex in the secondary. A good overall prospect that will be an excellent addition to any defensive scheme. He would be a good fit in the Big 10 where he can compete against the run-heavy offenses and show his ability in zone coverage. Should work his way into the rotation quickly and develop into every down player.

Tyler, TX (Tyler High School)

A versatile offensive weapon that can be used all over the offense. Adequate height and size. Very good speed and athleticism. Smart player that reads blocks well and has very good vision, he identifies open places on the field and positions himself to avoid tacklers. Solid strength as he’s able to run through arm tackles. He has taken handoffs from the backfield and slot receiver positions. Good hands and ball tracking ability allow him to high point the ball and make plays down the field. Good route runner that stems his routes well. Shown an ability to get open in the passing game from both the WR and RB positions. He played some QB as well showing solid arm strength and accuracy. Reads the defense well and understands when to run out of the pocket when he identifies a hole in the defense.

Wasn’t utilized as a blocker and will need to show some ability there to develop into every down player. A multi-sport athlete that also played basketball and ran track. He would be a good addition to a team with a creative offensive coordinator that will utilize him all over the field. He would be a good fit in the ACC with the more pass-heavy offenses. Immediate contributor on special teams as a returner. Should work his way into the rotation quickly and contribute all over the offense.

Justin Williams – LB

Conroe, TX (Oak Ridge High School)

Off-ball linebacker prospect that has good height and size. Good athletic ability and speed. Smart player that reads the offense well and positions himself well to make plays on the ball carrier. Displays good strength and is able to create separation from blockers to slip off and make plays on the ball carrier. Good tackler that will consistently get the ball carrier to the ground. Solid zone coverage ability, gets a good break on the pass and times his contact well to separate the ball from the receiver. Solid pass-rush moves and is able to get the QB in blitzing situations.

Needs to improve on reading screens and defending short quick passes, he attacks downhill allowing the pass to be completed behind him, and learning to get his hands into the passing lane could help him develop into a stronger defender in the passing game. A multi-sport athlete that also ran track. He would be a good addition to the SEC where he can show his skills at defending the run game. He should be an immediate contributor on special teams. Should work his way into the rotation very quickly and develop into an every down LB by his second or third season.
