Jaden Davis (Oklahoma to Miami-Florida)
The skinny: Davis made his way to Oklahoma from his home in Miami, so when he became available, the grad transfer had an immediate connection with the Canes. Aside from the obvious geographic advantage, the Canes also made it a priority to add depth and talent to the secondary through the portal. The addition of Davis, who started 22 games during his time with the Sooners, brings experience and a possible starter to Coral Gables.

Tre’Quon Fegans (Alabama to USC)
The skinny: After spending only one season at Alabama, Fegans decided that he needed a change of scenery. Not surprisingly, the four-star high school recruit had no problem finding a new home, with USC eventually beating out Arizona, UCF and Georgia Tech. While the cornerback position is talented in Los Angeles, there is an immediate opportunity for Fegans to win a job on the two-deep. Two other benefits of this addition are that he has four years of eligibility remaining, plus his younger brother, four-star safety Anquan Fegans, quickly followed him with a commitment to the Trojans.
Marcus Washington (Georgia to Louisville)
The skinny: Washington’s situation was similar to the above-mentioned Fegans, as he only spent one season in Athens, was a four-star coming out of high school and has four seasons of eligibility remaining. So, his arrival in Louisville was another big one, in what has been a hectic, and positive, portal season for the Cardinals. He is part of a revamped secondary which went from a concern after the 2022 season to a possible strength this fall.
Trey Amos (Louisiana to Alabama)
The skinny: While Alabama has two talented cornerbacks returning, Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold, additional experience at the position was lacking. The Tide answered this concern by adding Amos, who was a regular starter at Louisiana and finished the 2022 season with 36 tackles and eight pass break-ups. He also fits the mold of the traditional Alabama cornerback, with his physicality helping against the running game.

Jaylen Key (UAB to Alabama)
The skinny: 6-foot-2 and 210-pounds, Key committed to Alabama over Florida State, Oregon, Ohio State, North Carolina and Ole Miss. The Tide lost both of their starting safeties to the NFL but found a potential answer with this addition. Malachi Moore is likely to grab one of the starting jobs, with Key already the most likely to play next to him. He is coming off his best collegiate season with 60 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles and three interceptions.
