It’s not always the biggest names that are key to the NFL Draft. There’s a thing called value and here are some valuable picks at positions. Here are the top five cornerback values.
1. Christian Gonzalez, New England Patriots
— I don’t know why he slid, but a landing spot in New England at No. 17 is an absolute steal for the Pats.

2. Brian Branch, Detroit Lions
— I love his overall game, and I love the fact he stayed on day two despite slipping out of round one. This kid has always been a leader, and the Lions are getting a steal.

3. Cam Smith, Miami Dolphins
— Smith, at one time, was a first round value, so for the Dolphins to add to an already excellent secondary in round two is a big deal.

4. Kelee Ringo, Philadelphia Eagles
— The Eagles are playing chess while other teams are playing checkers by doubling down on UGA picks. Ringo has first round speed and size, and if he refines some things, this is a round four gem.

5. Clark Phillips III, Atlanta Falcons
— I’ve always liked Phillips III as a player with great instincts and feel for the game, but with his 5’9″ size, he was bound to be a mid-round pick. He’s a good value in round four.
