In every recruiting cycle, there are elite all-around blue chip prospects, very good prospects, and last but certainly not least underrated sleepers. This class is no different, but in this article, we talk about the freak athletes who stand out.
DL Jericho Johnson, Armijo HS, Fairfield, CA
- 6’4, 300 lbs
- Four-Star ranked 209th nationally
- A complete mismatch on the field with his size and strength, but the most impressive part about his game is his quickness. Has a basketball background so he moves very well. His first step is a blur and when he punches you, you go backward.
Jericho Johnson is a man amongst boys.

OT JacQawn McRoy, Clay-Chalkville HS, Pinson, AL
- 6’8, 365 lbs
- Four-Star ranked 166th nationally
- Simply put he is a mountain of a man. By far the biggest prospect in the class. Good athlete with quick feet and has nice bend for his size. Will most certainly be hard to miss on the field.

TE Caleb Odom, Carrollton HS, Carrollton, GA
- 6’5, 215lbs
- Four-Star ranked 85th nationally
- Supreme athlete who can do it all. Plays mostly WR at the moment, but will ultimately be a TE when he adds weight. All he did in 2022 was embarrass the state of Georgia’s best in 6A. Will be moved around and be a mismatch nightmare with his natural ball skills to go along with his play speed.

TE Trey’Dez Green, East Feliciana HS, Jackson, LA
- 6’7, 240 lbs
- Four-Star ranked 56th nationally
- Two sport star who excels not only on the field but also on the court. Also plays WR but will move to TE. A versatile threat who can jump with the best of them. LSU keeps another homegrown talent in the fold
Trey’Dez Green had more than 40 football offers and 20 basketball offers from which to choose his college.
But the opportunity to play in front of family, friends and his home community gave #LSU the edge for the East Feliciana star’s commitment.

WR Rahji Dennis, Edna Karr HS, New Orleans, LA
- 6’0, 160 lbs
- Unranked
- While the recruiting databases may have him unranked, he is by far no slouch. He may just be the fastest player in the class, which is backed up by his 10.35 100-meter time. Not only does he have blazing speed, but he’s actually a pretty good WR also. Can stop on a dime and make defenders look silly. Also helps that he plays for a national powerhouse in Edna Karr. Look for Mississippi State to get his commitment.
