Purdue redshirt freshman defensive back Jordan Buchanan has been dealing with his new recruiting process since entering the portal last week. Now he is looking forward to his first visit, which is happening this weekend to Colorado.
“I think that it’s going to be a beautiful campus from what I have heard from others,” said Buchanan. “I also believe it’s going to be a fun experience.”
The Buffaloes have yet to offer, but he is hoping that will chance while he is in Boulder this weekend. Other schools that are also showing serious interest at this time are Texas A&M, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, BYU and Auburn.
Buchanan, who is the son of ex-NFL defensive back Ray Buchanan, also has another visit in line next weekend.
“I believe I’m setting up another visit with Pitt the next weekend,” he said.
Buchanan does not have a specific timeline to make a final decision, but hopes to find his next home before any upcoming player report dates.
