Sometimes we see some reaches in the NFL Draft. Here are some picks made way too high in my book on offense.
Quarterback
Will Levis, Tennessee Titans
— Even sliding to round two, I think he’s taken way too high. A big arm is great, but there’s no film showing me he’s a future NFL starter.

Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts
— I know he’s an amazing athlete and all. And he could be an effective runner, but I don’t see it as a passer.

Running Back
Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions
— Why take him at No. 12 when they could have traded out and still landed him? He’s not worth this high a pick.

Tank Bigsby, Jacksonville Jaguars
— I liked Bigsby long ago as an SEC freshman, but after the tread on his tires being worn down a bit and some injuries, I think he’s a reach in round three.

Wide Receiver
Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings
— I just didn’t see a first round wide receiver last year, as his production fell off from his days at Pitt. He was used differently and all that, but I think he’s a first round bust.

Justin Shorter, Buffalo Bills
— The fifth round isn’t high, right? I have just been waiting for Shorter to use his physical assets since high school, and he’s just never going to do it.

Tight End
Luke Schoonmaker, Dallas Cowboys
— He could be serviceable in the Cowboys’ offense, but similar tight end value was there in round three and beyond, so round two is a reach.

Offensive Line
Paris Johnson Jr., Arizona Cardinals
— Trading back up to land him at No. 6 when they could have gotten a similar value at No. 12 seems to be a reach to me.

Darnell Wright, Chicago Bears
— I don’t like this pick. The Bears could have gone with Peter Skoronski, who may not have the same upside at tackle but will not flame out. I think Wright is an RT at best and a potential bust.
