Isaiah Thomas, Safety, Clearwater, FL (Clearwater Academy International), #626 Nationally, #61 Safety, #94 in Florida

On Wednesday, three-star safety Isaiah Thomas out of Clearwater, Florida committed to the Miami Hurricanes. Thomas is Miami’s sixth commit in the month of April, as their 2024 class continues to grow.

Thomas is confident that Mario Cristobal will have Miami back on top sooner rather than later. “The number of thing is that I really like that Coach Cristobal is doing all the right things, hiring the right people, and bringing the right recruits to bring Miami back to what it once was” When asked why he chose Miami, Thomas credited secondary coach Jahmile Addae. “In terms of everything, I want to play for him. Our relationship is really strong.” Miami stays hot on the recruiting trail and continues to build momentum.

Braydon Lee, CB, Upper Marlboro, MD (Charles Herbert Flowers HS), #227 Nationally, #18 CB, #7 in Maryland

Just a mere three hours after offensive lineman Mike Williams committed to South Carolina, four-star cornerback Braydon Lee made his pledge to Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks. Lee stated that South Carolina always “felt like home” to him. He went on to say that he has built some of the most consistent relationships with Shane Beamer and staff.

Lee marks the tenth commitment in the Gamecocks’ sixth rated class in the 247 Composite rankings. He looks to join a secondary that performed pretty well in 2022, ranking 34th in passing yards allowed. This is a big win on the recruiting trail for South Carolina as they push for a top-10 class in 2024.

Mike Williams, OT, Baltimore, MD (Charles Herbert Flowers HS), #1172 Nationally, #96 OT, #32 in Maryland

On Wednesday, three-star offensive tackle Mike Williams announced his commitment to South Carolina. The Upper Marlboro native chose the Gamecocks over the likes of Michigan State, Tennessee, Florida, and USC.

When asked what stood out about South Carolina, Williams credited the fans. “Their fan base is like no other. Even if you aren’t a Gamecock, they treat you like family.” Williams is the fourth offensive line commit in South Carolina’s 2024 class. Safe to say that the trenches are well stocked in Columbia. We’ll see if Shane Beamer and co. can crank up the heat and keep their recruiting momentum going.
