This conference was hard because a lot of teams in the Pac-12 improved or had identical records from 2021 to 2022. Still, I was able to find three teams that need to bounce back after having lackluster seasons.
Arizona State
The Sun Devils went 8-5 in 2021 with Jayden Daniels at QB. Then they had all the controversy with Herm Edwards and Daniels transferring to LSU. Edwards was fired three games into the 2022 season and Arizona State ended the season 3-9. Former Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham hopes to be able to bring some new good fortune to his alma mater.

Colorado
Colorado has gone 4-8 and 1-11 in their past two seasons. That’s why they went out and got Deion Sanders. The Buffaloes had to make a splash with their hire and they certainly did. I haven’t seen this much attention around this program in years. He brought his quarterback son, Shedeur Sanders, and a former five-star, number one overall player in the country in WR/CB, Travis Hunter. They’ll be an entertaining team to keep your eyes on in 2023.

California
Cal only dropped from 5-7 to 4-8 from 2022 to 2023, but that doesn’t matter. They were bad in both seasons and need to bounce back. This will be Justin Wilcox‘s eleventh season as their head coach, and if he can’t improve in the next year or two, he could be gone.
