The state of Texas has had its fair share of talented wide receivers, but another one could be in the class of 2025. Red Oak, Texas is home to four-star Taz Williams Jr who has started to blossom on the recruiting scene. Williams Jr was most recently offered by Coach Deion Sanders of Colorado.

Along with the Colorado offer, many schools are already impressing the rising star, such as Alabama, TCU, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Notre Dame.

“Their life after football programs stood out to me a lot. They make sure you are set with a career and job because football doesn’t last forever. Also, I loved the campus, coaching staff, and how they operate their team.”

Additionally, he has a few spring visits still set for April. On the 21st he will be at Ohio State, on the 22nd at Notre Dame, and on the 24th at Michigan. “I’m looking forward to meeting the staff and creating a relationship,” Williams said.

Relationships with the coaches are something to Williams. One of the coaches he has a close relationship with includes Nebraska‘s Coach Demichele, “We talk on a weekly basis and we are actually from the same area (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) So it actually makes our relationship better.” The other coach is Notre Dame’s Coach Stucky, “We talk about a lot of stuff outside of football so we could get to know each other outside of football. We talk a couple of times a week and every time we talk it just builds our relationship.“

As mentioned before a considerable factor in his recruitment is life after football as well as the campus, “My dad would always tell me that the surrounding areas of the school matter whenever you aren’t playing football, are you able to go leave and have fun or go shopping.”

Tuscaloosa, Alabama was a visit that stood out the most to Williams for many reasons and he simply raved about it. “My visit to Alabama stood out because Coach Saban was telling me about all the programs they have that will teach their athletes how to control themselves in certain situations and how to deal with certain things.“

Texas A&M stood out to him as well, “They told me if you graduate from there you start out at 6 figures, also they have a 100% graduation rate. The alumni at the school are also very giving and caring and that means a lot to me.”

Williams is expected to bloom into a national star whom elite programs will battle a commitment for him. He holds offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, TCU, Texas, and plenty more. He is 6-1/175lbs.
