— 4-star Texas safety Aaron Flowers announces Friday and despite a late push from Oregon, I think this goes the way of USC. Lincoln Riley and his staff continue to have great relationships in Big 12 country and a recent visit sealed this deal. Texas is an important state for USC but Oregon has also done well there so this is a big win for the Trojans if they land him.
— 5-star ATH KJ Bolden will announce his official visits soon and I expect Ohio State and Georgia to be in there unless he doesn’t want to waste one to Athens where he can go anytime as an in-state kid. The others? Auburn is in good shape to land one as is Florida State and I think either Alabama or Clemson will get one as well. I still think UGA is the team to beat here followed by Ohio State but Hugh Freeze and Auburn have done a great job staying near the top as Freeze is hammering the state of Georgia with recruiting attention.
— Speaking of Auburn, a recent visit from in-state WR Cam Coleman has the Tigers now at the top of his list with Florida State and LSU. As much as Freeze wants to hit Georgia he knows he also has to hold his own in Alabama and land a few in-state kids that the Crimson Tide are sleeping on. Coleman is one.
— TE Duce Robinson picked USC over Georgia in the 2023 class but he’s not the only baseball-football star out there. UGA wants WR Amari Jefferson from Tennessee as well in 2024 as does Alabama, Clemson and others. The kicker? He’s committed to Tennessee to play baseball and he’ll likely end up playing football there as well. He just named a top 12 but many of those schools don’t have a chance. I like the Vols here over the rest.

— Connecticut QB Dante Reno has become popular. He’s committed to South Carolina and seems solid but UNC (lost out on Jake Merklinger and Jadyn Davis), Miami (about to lose Air Noland), and Nebraska (confidence waning on Dylan Raiola?) have all come at him hard in the last week.
