— Let’s start with OL Jordan Seaton from Washington, DC, shall we? He is visiting Florida, Florida State, and Miami in March and will be in Colorado in April with Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, and USC also likely to get visits. Of the Florida schools, I like the Canes’ chances the best. But right now, I’d say Georgia and Ohio State are the two teams to beat. He’s down to 14 schools so not a huge cut as UGA, Ohio State, Florida, Miami, Colorado, Michigan, USC, Tennessee, Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon, Maryland, LSU, and Texas A&M all made the list. Florida State wasn’t in his cut to 14 but with a visit there they are also in the mix.

— Might as well give an update on 5-star QB Dylan Raiola as he will visit UGA, Nebraska, and Oregon in the upcoming months. His visit to USC recently puts them as the leader, and I think Georgia is a very close No. 2 and could regain the lead after a visit. However, there has been talk of Raiola coming close to securing off-campus housing at USC and a few potential NIL deals in LA. If that’s the case, this is a stronger lead for Lincoln Riley. I’d put USC at 55%, UGA at 30%, and maybe Nebraska at 10%. Right now Oregon is an outlier, but he will be at a massive recruiting weekend for the Ducks for their spring game.

— Fellow 5-star QB Julian Sayin is locked into his commitment to Alabama as he and new OC Tommy Rees have a previous connection from his days at Notre Dame. Ohio State is pushing hard, really hard, to get a visit this spring, but Sayin is all ‘Bama, I’m told, and that will be solidified on his March visit.

— Texas is the clear leader in my opinion for two IMG Academy stats in DB Jordan Johnson-Rubell and RB Jerrick Gibson. For Johnson-Rubell, this isn’t a close battle as TCU runs second but are way behind the Longhorns. But for Gibson, Texas is battling Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, so they have their work cut out. He will be back in Austin this spring and could close things out on an official this summer.

The Best Way to End the Scheduling Debate

— Elite EDGE Elijah Rushing is an interesting story. His older brother, Cruz, at one point, committed to be a walk on at Oregon, but then changed his mind to head to Florida. He’s since transferred back home to Arizona, and now the family has a choice. His dad, George Rushing, played at Florida, but the experience for Cruz didn’t work out, and I think the Gators are out of the picture for Elijah. But Arizona has a puncher’s chance here. Elijah has learned about going away from home from his brother’s experience, so I think that plays a role moving forward hurting schools like Notre Dame and others. Oregon has the clear edge here to me, with Arizona in the mix and Miami, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and others trying to overcome any distance factors.

— Georgia ATH KJ Bolden loved his visit to Arkansas more than even he expected, and the Razorbacks are now firmly in the mix with Georgia, Ohio State, and Clemson. Can they win out? It’s still doubtful as the Georgia native sees the slew of NFL players being produced by that trio, and they’ve won five national titles between them over the last 10 seasons, but Sam Pittman and company are doing a stellar job here.

— And finally, QB Jadyn Davis is back in Ann Arbor on March 18, and I’m told the staff will do all it takes to finally land a commitment. The North Carolina QB has been rumored to be a lean to Michigan for a long time, but his relationship with Matt Weiss was key, and now he’s gone. Jim Harbaugh has been very involved in this recruiting, and if he doesn’t commit on this trip, it will be concerning to the staff. North Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, and others have been in the mix.
