Prospects in the News
Manasse Itete, OT, Modesto, CA (Modesto Christian HS), 259 Nationally, #19 OT, #24 in California
Manasse Itete recently released his top ten schools on Wednesday. The list consists of Arizona State, Cal, Florida State, Maryland, Miami, Oregon, UCLA, Southern California, Vanderbilt, and Utah. He is considered to be one of the best offensive tackle prospects in the nation in the 2024 class. Cal is considered the leader as of right now according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Cal has quite a bit working in their favor here. When asked why the Golden Bears were listed in his top ten, Itete replied, “The new offensive line coach (Mike Bloesch), I feel like he’s recruiting me hard. He came and visited me at school and he’s been talking to me a lot. He’s really nice.” UCLA is another school to watch out for here in my opinion. “UCLA just started recruiting me hard, but they bring everything I want and things I need. I feel like it will be a good base for me.” This recruitment is still wide open, but if it were to end today, I would take Cal.

Duce Robinson, TE, Pheonix, AZ (Pinnacle HS), #17 Nationally, #1 TE, #1 in Arizona
5-star generational tight end Duce Robinson recently received a new crystal ball on Thursday morning by recruiting expert Blair Angulo. Angulo flipped his prediction from the Georgia Bulldogs to the USC Trojans. The two programs have been battling it out for Robinson’s commitment for quite some time now, and there has been somewhat of a tug-of-war match going on between the schools. However, with Georgia’s former offensive coordinator Todd Monken leaving to take a job with the Baltimore Ravens, it left the door open for USC to come in seemingly last minute and take the lead. There’s still some time for things to change, but as of now, I think Robinson ends up as a Trojan.

Herb Gray, DL, Upper Marlboro, MD (Charles Herbert Flowers HS), #41 DL
Herb Gray’s recruitment is beginning to ramp up, recently receiving offers from Penn State and West Virginia. He was offered by Tennessee back in December. He has already been on a visit with the Volunteers, and they made a great impression on him. “I mean, they made it feel like family. I can’t wait to get back down there and see how they practice and how everything kind of works as far as far as everything else goes.” He has a visit slated with Tennessee for the weekend of March 25th. I like the Vols here, but Penn State is definitely still a threat. As of now though, I think Tennessee leads.
Keylen Adams, WR, Virginia Beach, VA (Green Run HS), #128 Nationally, #21 WR, #2 in Virginia
Keylen Adams dropped his top four pretty recently, but there are some newcomers in his recruitment that could completely flip that on its head. The most recent offer is Alabama, who extended an offer to Adams on Wednesday. Ohio State is also in close contact with him, and even though they haven’t extended an offer yet, some believe that it’s only a matter of time. Still, Virginia Tech and Penn State have put a lot of space between themselves and the rest of the schools in his top four. As of right now, he’s a Hokie, as the Virginia Tech staff has really prioritized keeping Adams in the state of Virginia. However, with so much time left in this recruitment, Alabama and Ohio State still loom as massive threats.
